Scope of Works
Igloo Property Group was engaged by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for West Mercia to support a vital health and safety initiative across its estate. The project involved the supply and installation of multiple automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at key operational and administrative sites, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to the wellbeing of both its staff and the wider public.
This multi-site rollout covered police stations, offices, and other strategic locations across the West Mercia region. Each installation was carefully planned to ensure optimal positioning for accessibility and visibility in case of emergency. We worked to site-specific requirements, coordinating closely with PCC representatives and local facilities teams to deliver installations that were both discreet and immediately accessible when required.
Challenges & Solutions
As part of our service, we managed the full installation process—including wall-mounting, secure housing, electrical connections (where applicable), and the provision of appropriate signage. We also ensured that each device was installed in accordance with relevant health and safety guidelines and the manufacturer’s specifications. Where necessary, we provided additional protective enclosures for units located in public or external areas.
Crucially, all works were carried out with minimal disruption to live environments. With many sites remaining operational throughout, our team scheduled visits to suit site availability, maintaining strict security protocols and adhering to all on-site safety procedures.
This project also included the recording and documentation of all installations to aid the client’s asset management and emergency response planning. Units were logged and tagged with relevant information to support future maintenance and ensure compliance with servicing requirements.
