West Mercia Federation

Following a severe leak in a toilet at West Mercia Federation offices in Hampton Lovett near Droitwich, we were appointed to replace the toilet facilities.

Despite the leak being in one toilet, it had caused extensive damage to the entire toilet blocks upstairs and downstairs, requiring a total refit on both floors.

We were recommended to Suzy Smith, Office Manager, West Mercia Federation by a Facilities Manager at West Mercia Police who we have worked with on several projects across their property portfolio.

Matt Adams, Project Manager at Igloo, created several design options following the brief and guidance provided by Suzy and her colleagues on the finish and colours they wanted. The variations of the design consisted of layout, flooring, and sanitary ware options that we thought would be suitable.

From design to completion, the entire refit project was delivered within 6 weeks, which also consisted of a complete redecoration and carpet replacement of the first floor.

During the initial clearance and strip out of the space, several tiles had left some walls in a poor condition which needed to be plastered. This didn’t disrupt the progress or deadline for the project.

To improve the aesthetics of the toilets, existing pipework was re-routed so that it wasn’t on show, providing a cleaner and neater finish.

Matt Adams managed the entire project from design and start up through to handing over the completed project on the final day, with site visits several times per week. This provided our client with a single point of contact to liase with from start to finish.
