Refurbishment of an Industrial Unit, Multipark Stourbridge

This project involved the refurbishment of an industrial unit at Building B, Bay 1 within the Multipark site in Stourbridge.

Previously occupied by a former retail/industrial tenant, the unit required full clearance and refurbishment to prepare it for future use.

The works were designed to address ageing building fabric, outdated building services, and a range of compliance considerations across both office and warehouse areas. Igloo Property Group was appointed to deliver a coordinated refurbishment programme that would upgrade the space, improve functionality, and provide a clean and safe industrial environment ready for continued commercial occupation.

Scope of Works

Works were delivered across both the external and internal spaces to improve performance, safety, and functionality, following full clearance of the former unit.

External works included:

Roof and drainage repairs, façade improvements, and upgraded external lighting and security.

Internal works included:

Full strip-out and clearance of the former tenant fit-out, refurbishment of office, welfare and warehouse areas, improved layouts and finishes, upgraded fire doors, and updated mechanical and electrical systems, with new lighting installed throughout.

Challenges & Solutions

The project involved a number of challenges, including existing building elements and services that no longer met current operational and regulatory requirements across mixed-use industrial spaces. These issues required careful planning to ensure works were delivered efficiently and safely.

Igloo Property Group developed a sequenced programme of works to coordinate external and internal activities while minimising disruption. Close collaboration with the client ensured access and safety requirements were managed effectively throughout delivery.

Key Outcomes
